1981年岐阜県生まれ、愛知県育ち。
16歳の時にBREAKING を始め、そしてグラフィティを始める。
20歳の時にアメリカに渡り、アートというものに出会う。
アメリカの色々な州にてライブペイント、個展、アートイベントなどに
て活躍。その後サンフランシスコにてバイクメッセンジャーとなり、そのコミュニティーの中に生きるための本当の意味を見いだす。
後に日本に帰国、東京にてメッセンジャーとなる。
現在はメッセンジャーをやめ、絵を描く毎日をすごしながら、日本、アメリカ、フランス、中国などにてグループ展を主催し、個展、壁画、そしてライブペイントなども精力的に活動。
基本は旅をして色々な物事を観るという価値観を大切にするために定住は全くしていない。日本各地を転々としながら、今はまた東京で活躍中。
次はどこに住むかも模索中。
- Q1：まずあなたのバックグラウンドを教えてもらえますか？
- アメリカでブレイクダンス追いかけて、肩壊して、絵を本気でやり始めて、気づいたらメッセンジャーをサンフランシスコでやっていて、気づいたら東京でもメッセンジャーやっていて、気づいたら今。
- Q2：アーティストとして活動し始めたのは何歳ごろですか？またそのきっかけは？
- ２３歳。きっかけはブレイクダンスがもうできなくなって、途方に暮れていた時に、自分の『最後の砦』（能力）って何だろうって考えたら毎日絵を描いていたし、グラフィティもダンスの練習の合間や帰宅途中などにやっていたから、本気でやってみようって。
- Q3：アートは人々に影響をもたらすと思いますか？もしそうであればどんな事だと思いますか？
- 思います。ただ一言でどんな事だというのは無理です。アートって宇宙みたいなもので、色んな形の星（スタイル）があって、色んな表現があるから。ただ、今までアーティストとして生きてきて、「人生が変わった」とか「本当にありがとう」って言われ続けて、何かしら僕の活動などは人に影響を与えているんだなって考えると、感慨深いです。本当に有り難い事だなって。
- Q4：作品を作る際にいつも心がけていることはありますか？
- あります。呼吸を乱しながら作らない事。陰と陽のバランスを整えてから製作にうつります。というか、バランスを普段から安定させる事を心がけています。といっても、なかなか難しいですが、こころがける事で、技術や想像がクリアになるので。
- Q5：今回坩堝は「日本」をイメージした作品を依頼していますが、どのような作品作りをしましたか？
- とりあえず、ロゴを考えないで、坩堝という言葉のみに集中してコンセプトを発展させました。ロゴは後に付け足せば良いという考えで。
- Q6：最後に坩堝に参加しようと決めた理由を教えてください。
- 正直言えば、MHAKが前のコレクションでやっていて、MHAKがやるところは大体信頼があるし、疑いもなくスムーズにいけるだろうなっていうところ。それに付け加えて、商品のクオリティーが高い。そこには驚かされました。
- Q1 : Firstly can you tell us your background including your career?
- Ummm, to tell you the truth, my history is quite long enough to get tired of reading and listening, so I will make it really short. Went to America, pursue my career as a break-dancer. Unfortunately, I broke my shoulder completely that won’t recover without a surgery, but I didn’t have any insurance, so I gave up my dancing life then slightly shifted onto painter since I was a graffiti writer along with break dancing on a street. However, I ended up being a bike messenger in San Francisco which was quite awkward, but I needed to have money to pay the rent and shit. My visa got expired, but the courier office extended it for me so I could stay longer, but I decided to go back to Japan. Becoming a bike messenger again in TOKYO, but you know I am an artist having shows everywhere in the U.S. and wanted to have more in Japan, so I quit being a courier and started pursuing more into ART world here in TOKYO. Now, here I am.
- Q2 : What age have you started your activity as an artist, and what did motivate you?
- Probably around 23, since a year of 2014 is the 10th year anniv for my art career. My motivation was after I broke my shoulder doing a break dance skill called “1990” at Pier 39 street with Oakland Breakers. My dream was completely shut down right? So, I was down myself so hard doing nothing everyday, but paint, graffiti, drawing helps me out so much. Since I was a kid, I started drawing and making things a lot, and it became a part of my life. Probably I was naturally born to be an artist then. Don’t you think so?
- Q3 : Do you think art influences people? If you do, what kind of thing does it?
- Yes, I do think that art does influence people out there. However, I really do not know how it affects to the others. Art is like the universe and has so many planets like art has so many concepts. So, It should have thousands of different kinds of influences to the people. So far, in my art career, people text me and talk to me that their life got changed into a good way since they saw my art works, concepts, the way I live and some other stuffs. It’s quite rare thing to hear, but I really really appreciate how my art affects some people around.
- Q4 : Do you have anything to pay attention when you do your work?
- I do. I don’t want to paint when my breath is unstable, or even I do care about Yin & Yang balance inside of my heart. It is really hard to maintain the balance since I am just a human being, but it seems it is really important for me to see through something that people cannot.
- Q5 : This time, RUTSUBO held up “JAPAN” as the theme, and could you let us know how you projected the theme to your artwork?

I didn’t think of any ideas of how I place or even make the logo look like first. I just focused on a meaning of RUTSUBO and developed some ideas how I can create my image into this concept. - Q6 : Finally, please describe what made you to participate RUTUBO project.
- MHAK asked me that if I wanted to do it or not, and I really trust MHAK taste, so simply I said “why not”. In addition, RUTSUBO’s products are very good quality and that made my motivation keep going.
