“Zerosy[M2D]”

世界の34 都市のアーバンアートを追いかける旅”JETLAG PROJECT” その旅はアジアから始まり北はモスクワ、ヨーロッパ、南米そしてアメリカ。。2012 年にそのプロジェクトを終え写真集を発行。
そもそもの始まりは97 年。グラフティを描き始める。それは揺るぎない自分の人生の道しるべとの出会い。
99 年からはネパールやインドなどを始め西アジア諸国に頻繁にペイントしに行くようになり旅とペイントとゆうスタイルが自分のなかに徐々に確立していく。2000年以降はペイントの他に旅で集めたビンテージの紙、植物、動物の骨、金などを使ったコラージュやインスタレーションを国内外のギャラリーでSATO 名義で作品を発表。
SATO 名義の作品はギャラリーにグラフティーのフォルムを一切持ち込まない自分なりのこだわりがある。
作品はノリやポップさを重視ししている作品が殆どだが、時に皮肉で政治的な一面を見せる作品を毎年発表し続けている。
それは本人のフロントラインであるグラフティクルーMANAGE2DESTROY の掲げる思想や反撥を体現した作品でもある。プロジェクトが終了した現在はタトゥーアーティストとしても活動している。

JETLAG PROJECT”
Journey of pursuing urban-art in 34 cities all over the world.It starts from Asia, heading to the north, Moscow, and via Europe to South America and U.S.A.
This project ended up in 2012 and published his photobook.
Beginning of everything was in 1997.
Started drawing graffiti, and that was meeting with secure guide light of his own life.
From 1999, traveling around West Asia such as Nepal, India for painting.
After those, style of “Travel and Paint” had got well-established inside of him little by little.
Since year of 2000, Launching his works, which are collage and installation using vintage paper, plants, animal’s bone and gold he collected from his trip, by name of “SATO”.
Artworks, by name of “SATO”, has conviction that he doesn’t bring style of graffiti to galleries.
Although the most of works have importance of pop and enthusiasm, sometimes, some of the works show sarcastic political face, and those are seen in a municipal museum of Art every year.
Those are the works that embody an ideology and counterculture of graffiti crew “MANAGE2DESTROY” which is his frontline.
After the project has been done, he is also having an action as a tattoo artist.
